Today we were inspired by Jean from the wonderful blog
Mama Jean and Maia have been making all sorts of lovely valentine goodies
and Honeypie and I chose 3 projects to make from their bunch to re-create!
Here is our version of their "papel picado"
We then went on to make her "handmade valentines"
Honeypie water colored a whole sheet of paper ...
I cut out some hearts for her from the paper
we punched holes all around the edges...
and honeypie laced the heart cards with pretty ribbon
Honeypie really enjoyed watercoloring the paper!!!
We then took all of our three lacing card valentines and hung them from some pretty ribbon
and beaded the end of the ribbon to make a wall hanging!
We did a little collage of smaller hearts onto the valentine hearts
Here's the bottom heart with the beaded end
Honeypie wanted to make a little more water coloring...
and finally .....
for the best part....
Jean's great "aunt polly's oatmeal jumbos" cookies (her favorite from when she was a child)
and i have to tell you...
THEY WERE DELICIOUS!!!
we used cranberries too.... in honor of valentines day!
Absolutely Delicious Jean and thank you so much for sharing this recipe!
xoxo
Here's our version with a little embellishment!
^_^
Happy Valentines day!
and thanks for the inspiration jean and maia!
