For baby

Here's a little embroidery I've been working on as a gift for 

one of the many babies being born to friends from now till summer...  

Seems that flowers are not the only things blooming!

I tend to not have a patient hand and I struggle with precision.... but it is all good practice.

Los pollitos dicen... pio pio pio

cuando tienen hambre , cuando tienen frio

la gallina busca el maiz y el trigo

les da su comida y les presta abrigo

bajo sus dos alas, accurucaditos

hasta el otro dia duermen los pollitos

A beautiful spanish lullaby.  

This is probably one of the first songs a baby will hear in latin America, as he is trying to sleep. 

A great version is sung by Elizabeth Mitchell in the CD "you are my little bird" .
